We’re excited to announce that Cooper, our faithful pal and head of quality control for Generation Dog, is one of the candidates for Pet King of Do Dah Day 2007!

Do Dah Day will be held May 19th at Rhodes and Caldwell Parks on Highland Avenue.  It is a local music and food festival held annually to raise money for two local animal organizations - the Greater Birmingham Humane Society and Friends of Cats & Dogs.  Both of these organizations strive to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever homes for abandoned or neglected animals.

One of the fun things that Do Dah Day organizes each year is the coronation of a human king and queen, as well as a pet king and queen.  Whoever raises the most money for the organization in each category is crowned the King or Queen for that year.  Please help ensure Cooper wears the crown on May 19th by donating to this worthy cause.  It’s very easy to donate in one of two ways:

ONLINE:  Simply go to   Once on the Do Dah Day candidate page, click on the little white box that says “DONATE using” under Cooper’s bio/picture and you will be redirected to the site.  Once there, please type “Cooper for Do Dah Day Pet King” in the field labeled “Designated Donation”. You will also have the option to dedicate your donation to a beloved pet, animal lover friend or family member, or anyone else who inspires you to give.

IN PERSON:  For those of you in the Birmingham area, you can also donate in person using cash or a check at the Generation Dog boutique located at 1825 B 29th Ave South, Homewood, AL  35209.  Our hours are Monday - Saturday from 10am to 6pm.

Another way to support these worthy causes is to purchase your official Do Dah Day 2007 merchandise.  T-shirts in various styles, colors and sizes, as well as bandanas and koozies are all available for sale in the Generation Dog boutique and online.  Thanks in advance for helping our furry friends in Birmingham – and for making sure Cooper receives the Crown!
